Teen

The Driftwood Teen Travel Program takes the summer camp experience beyond the gates and puts adventure front and center.

Designed exclusively for campers entering 8th, 9th, and 10th grade, Teen Travel is a completely travel-based program. Our Teen Travelers utilize our beautiful 22-acre campus as home base, but they spend their summer on the road, exploring incredible destinations, experiencing new adventures, and making memories with friends that will last a lifetime.

From Orlando and Walt Disney World to Atlanta, Chicago, and destinations up and down the East Coast, every week brings somewhere new to explore. Our Teen Travelers experience major cities, theme parks, beaches, sporting events, attractions, outdoor adventures, entertainment, and so much more.

Teen Travel is about much more than simply visiting exciting places. Traveling together creates a unique environment where campers develop independence, confidence, responsibility, flexibility, and stronger social skills.

Whether navigating a new city, checking into a hotel, experiencing a destination for the first time, or simply spending time together on the road, our Teen Travelers are constantly learning, growing, and becoming more independent.

Throughout the summer, campers participate in a combination of day trips, multi-day trips, and extended overnight adventures. Some weeks may keep the group closer to home, while others take them hundreds of miles away to some of the most exciting destinations in the country.

Our itineraries are designed to provide a wide variety of experiences throughout the summer.

One week could mean roller coasters and theme parks. The next could include exploring a major city, attending a professional sporting event, spending the day at the beach, visiting a famous attraction, or heading out on an unforgettable multi-night adventure.

Destinations may include Orlando and Walt Disney World, Atlanta, Chicago, and cities and attractions throughout the East Coast and beyond.

For our Teen Travelers, the journey is just as much a part of the experience as the destination.

As campers get older, they are ready for more freedom and responsibility. Teen Travel gives them the opportunity to experience that independence while still benefiting from the structure, supervision, and care of Driftwood’s experienced staff.

Our staff travels alongside campers throughout every experience, providing appropriate supervision while allowing teens the freedom to socialize, explore, make decisions, and enjoy their growing independence.

Transportation, accommodations, activities, meals, and trip experiences are coordinated by Driftwood. Overnight trips include hotel accommodations, and transportation is provided aboard coach buses and other appropriate transportation based on the destination.

What makes Teen Travel special isn’t only where our campers go—it’s who they experience it with.

Days on the road, nights in hotels, new cities, incredible attractions, shared meals, laughs, and adventures create friendships and memories unlike anything else.

For many campers, Teen Travel becomes the culmination of their Driftwood experience—a summer filled with friendship, freedom, adventure, independence, and experiences they’ll be talking about long after the summer ends.
