A Cell Phone-Free Environment
To uphold this commitment, Driftwood maintains a strict cell phone-free policy for all staff members during the camp day. Staff are not permitted to carry cell phones on their person or keep them in their personal belongings while camp is in session. This policy eliminates unnecessary distractions and ensures that our staff remains fully present, engaged, and attentive to the campers in their care.
The only exception to this policy is our Camp Directors. Unlike traditional Directors who might spend their days behind a desk, our directors are actively involved in the daily camp experience—out on the grounds, interacting with campers, supporting staff, and overseeing programs. Cell phones allow our directors to remain accessible and responsive to you (our families) while moving throughout our 22-acre campus.
